About this group

The Connecting People Group brings together housing providers, commissioners and support organisations working across health, housing and social care. The group focuses on improving outcomes for people with complex needs by promoting integrated and person-centred approaches.

The group champions the role of housing in supporting health, wellbeing and independence. It works collaboratively to influence strategy, improve support services and ensure vulnerable residents can access safe accommodation, tenancy support and early intervention services.

The group aims to:

  • Strengthen integration between housing, health and social care services.
  • Support vulnerable residents with complex housing and support needs.
  • Influence commissioning and strategic planning across the city.
  • Promote safeguarding, early help and prevention approaches.
  • Improve specialist accommodation and tenancy support provision.
  • Champion health inclusion and wellbeing for Manchester residents.
