About this group

The Community Safety Group provides a partnership forum linking Manchester housing providers with the city’s wider community safety networks. The group supports collaborative responses to neighbourhood safety challenges and helps shape strategic approaches to protecting residents and communities.

The group works across a range of issues including antisocial behaviour, youth violence, domestic abuse, exploitation and neighbourhood policing. By sharing knowledge, intelligence and best practice, partners can coordinate responses and improve outcomes for residents across Manchester.

The group aims to:

  • Support Manchester's Community Safety and Domestic Abuse strategies.
  • Develop coordinated responses to antisocial behaviour and crime.
  • Improve partnership working across housing and community safety organisations.
  • Share information, skills and best practice.
  • Support residents to feel safe in their homes and neighbourhoods.
  • Respond collaboratively to emerging safety concerns across the city.
